The Eucharistic Ministry to the Homebound & Sick provides Eucharistic visitation to those unable to attend Mass, such as the homebound, nursing home residents, and those who are hospitalized or in hospice.
What is a homebound parishioner?
A homebound parishioner is someone who is unable to attend Mass because of an illness, physical impairment, hospice care, etc.
How to Request Eucharistic Visitation
Please call our office at 724-652-3422 to make a request to receive the Eucharist. A member of the Eucharistic Ministry will be assigned to you and will bring the Eucharist to the parishioner’s home. This person can also bring you a church bulletin and inform you of programs within the church that may benefit you.
Interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister?
Individuals interested in joining this ministry must first be trained and must be Safe Environment certified. Volunteers who serve the homebound should possess the following qualities and gifts:
